Unlock Your Superpowers

screen-shot-2016-12-06-at-12-10-11-pmAs I have discussed in previous articles the practice of writing you goals daily is a critical part of achieving them. Writing your goals daily drives them deep into your subconscious mind. This is how we internalize our goals and make them part of our daily lives. In this way, we can draw upon all our knowledge and experience as well as all the ideas and intelligence known to man.

Once we have our goals clearly written in the first person, as a positive statement, and in the present tense we can then start a very powerful exercise called MINDSTORMING!!

Mindstorming consists of 4 steps.

  • On top of a clean sheet of paper write out your most important goal. Write your goal as a question. As an example, if your goal is to double your income and you are currently making $50,000 a year you might say “How can I raise my income to $100,000 in a way that is ethical and sustainable”?
  • Now write down a minimum of 20 answers. Work quickly. Do not concern yourself with evaluating or analyzing them. Allow them to stream from your conscious and subconscious mind. You will most likely find the first 10 answers come easily. The next 5-6 a little harder and the last 4-5 are very hard. Do not stop. It is usually the last 2-3 answers that give us the greatest revelations. This is where our subconscious mind really starts to kick in. That is what makes this exercise so powerful.
  • Review your ideas. Analyze them with an open mind. Select 1 idea that you believe will give you the greatest positive on your quest to achieve your most important goal.
  • Immediately put this one idea into action and persist with it unwaveringly in its application.

Mindstorming can also be used very effectively in problem solving. Write the problem out as a clear question and then follow the steps outlined above.

This is one of the most powerful tools for achieving goals known to man. It sounds simple. Try it out, practice it. You will find it is simple.
